About Longfellow

Longfellow Elementary School, nestled in the heart of Community Consolidated School District 21, is dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. Our school is committed to academic excellence, social-emotional growth, and creative exploration. With a diverse community of learners, we emphasize the importance of respect, responsibility, and kindness in everything we do. Students attend the district’s Cooper Middle School after graduating from Longfellow.

Named for the American poet and educator, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882), the elementary school serves more than 400 kindergarten through fifth graders. At Longfellow Elementary, we believe in a holistic approach to education. Our passionate educators work closely with families to ensure that each student receives personalized attention and support. Through innovative teaching methods, a rich curriculum, and a wide range of extracurricular activities, we inspire our students to reach their full potential.

We are proud to be a community-centered school, actively engaging with local partners and offering programs that extend beyond the classroom. At Longfellow Elementary, we are not just educating students; we are cultivating future leaders and lifelong learners.
